U.S. Citizenship

Who can apply for Citizenship?

Lawful permanent residents (LPR) of the U.S., who meet the specific requirements, can file for their citizenship. This process is termed naturalization, and is obtained through the N-400 form.

What are the requirements to apply for Citizenship?

  • LPR for 5 years (or LPR for 3 years, if married to U.S. citizen)
  • Be 18 years of age or above.

  • Have maintained physical presence and residency requirements.
  • Have basic knowledge/understanding of English.

Why should I get my Citizenship?
